Salt Lake Donated Dental Services (SLDDS) Since 1990 SLDDS has provided dental treatment for those with no other access to dental care. Our mission is to relieve pain and suffering while preserving the oral health of patients who are indigent. Forty-five percent of our patients are homeless, 44% fall below the federal poverty level, and 11% have State funded insurance plans such as Medicaid. The clinic’s programs include: emergency care, preventative and periodontal maintenance, and restorative care (fillings, crowns, dentures), Because all of our dentists donate their time and services, individuals interested in receiving treatment at SLDDS are advised to contact the clinic ahead of time to find out when a dentist will be volunteering. SLDDS is a walk in clinic, appointments are available for specialized procedures only. All patients are required to provide proof of eligibility on every visit.
